This rigging malarky is driving me to distraction. The arms, legs and head work fine, But the hands are pissing me off; the empty node at the wrist provides the correct local axis for the hand rotation, but I am unable to make the constraints drive it properly, they seem to consider something else to be “local space”.
Finally got those hands rigged today. Two nodes are required, a node to hold the rotation axis, and one to hold the rotation, and you have to parent them whilst they both still have null-rotations, then move the parent node to its final orientation.
If there’s a better way I’d like to know…
