Architecture Academy Module 1. Homework Image.

Based on the “easy” reference image. This took really rather a long time. Taking care of all the wacky chamfered edges took a while – need a better workflow for that. Getting the lighting set reasonably wasn’t too bad, used big area lamps. Had to render out and mix in an AO pass to help pick out some detail though. Didn’t even attempt to make the rug furry, went with a hessian style instead. Did use a noise texture to jitter the rug pattern though, which is quite a cool idea. Modeling the chairs and table was fairly easy. Still a little distressed at the image noise levels, this was 1000 samples and took about 35 minutes.
